Footage of the post-match scenes on the Emirates pitch on the back of Arsenal’s defeat to Manchester City have piqued attentions online this evening.
Rodri at the death
Arsenal, of course, were back in action on Saturday afternoon.
In the midst of a fine stretch of form amid the club’s efforts to secure a top-4 berth, the Gunners welcomed rampant champions Manchester City to north London, for a highly-anticipated Premier League clash.
Mikel Arteta’s outfit headed into proceedings aware that a surprise triumph on the day would mark not only a 6th successive victory across all competitions, but also guide them to within three points of 3rd-placed Liverpool in the English top-flight table.
When all was said and done at the Emirates, however, ultimately, Arsenal were put to the sword by two goals to one.
A controversy-strewn 90 minutes, featuring a red card, two penalty shouts and an injury-time winner on the part of Rodri, ensured that Pep Guardiola’s Man City opened their advantage at the Premier League’s summit to a full eleven points.

White fumes
On the back of such a back-and-forth outing, which, in truth, could have gone either way on Saturday, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear that Arsenal’s stars were in less than joyous mood following the full-time whistle.
The likes of Alexandre Lacazette and manager-for-the-day Albert Stuivenberg, for example, made clear their frustrations with the level of officiating in the game’s aftermath:
Don’t think we deserved those decisions but I’m proud of my team and thank you fans for never giving up on us, you were amazing !

And, as alluded to above, on Sunday, fresh footage of Ben White to have surfaced online has made clear that the Gunners stopper, stout once more against City, was too less than impressed with Stuart Attwell and his team of officials.
The clip in question, taken by a member of the crowd, showcases White’s angry post-match exchange with the trio:
